21st September 2017

The English Modern School – Al Khor has a library which houses over 19,363 books. The library was enlarged to better meet the needs of students and staff. It is divided into the following sections: Teacher Resources, Everybody Section, Fiction Books for year 2-6, Fiction Books for year 7-8, a Non-Fiction Section, and a Reference Section. The books are also grouped by reading level, using the Fountas and Pinnell System, which allows students to select appropriate reading material at their level, and encourages lifelong readers.
The primary and secondary students will visit the library on a regular schedule for book checkout. Students may keep books for a two-week period with the option to renew for another two weeks when needed.

The library is open from 6:45 am until 2 pm. At the EMS Al Khor Campus, we love to read!
